By a doubting she-Thomas

The thing about having doubt in Christ. The thing about having no definite believe system is that there’s nowhere to extend grace. The forgiveness and love you want to give yourself. It’s hard to find. Goodness and Mercy is of the Lord.

Religion being the opium of the people starts to make sense because the idea of an unconditional love warms my heart. It seems bonkers that an imperfect being like me would be loved by a perfect savior. I often judge myself harshly. Much harsher than I judge others .

And sometimes I wonder if faith, in its own way, is simply permission to be forgiven.
